Webinar #3: Protected Areas (PA), Human Rights & the CBD: What it means for India

Wednesday, 19 August 2026 by Radhika Mulay

As part of Kalpavriksh Webinar series, we are now organising Webinar #3: Protected Areas (PA), Human Rights & the CBD: What it means for India.

KMGBF calls for a Human Rights-Based Approach (HRBA) in achieving Target 3, yet PA governance often overlooks indigenous and local communities’ conservation practices and rights.

Join us as we explore how Target 3 can advance rights-based, equitable and effective PA governance by aligning conservation with community values, strengthening legal rights, implementing the Forest Rights Act, and maintaining ecological integrity and connectivity without compromising community rights. https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_Ik98vhKjQnGUR2xYrll11Q
