As part of Kalpavriksh Webinar series, we are now organising Webinar #4: CBRs, PBRs & e-PBRs: Community Participation in Biodiversity DocumentationHow do Community Biodiversity Registers (CBRs), People’s Biodiversity Registers (PBRs) and electronic PBRs (e-PBRs) differ, and what do they mean for Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities (IPLCs)? The webinar explores how biodiversity documentation intersects with traditional knowledge, community rights, FPIC, benefit sharing and conservation. The webinar will examine the purpose, processes, ownership and governance of different documentation approaches, and the opportunities and challenges of digitisation. Join community representatives, biodiversity officials, researchers and civil society practitioners to discuss how documentation can become a more participatory, rights-based and equitable process that strengthens community knowledge, conservation and livelihoods.
