The Kalpavriksh Environmental Action Group annouces its latest publication:  The Second Act: Centre-State Conversations on Ecologically Sensitive Areas (2009-2012) by Meenakshi Kapoor and Kanchi Kohli.  This publication is a study looking at the interactions between the Central and State Governments on the issue of notification of Ecologically Sensitive Areas around Protected Areas and in the Western Ghats.

The Documentation Center at Kalpavriksh brings you the updated Hindi Newsletter- People in Conservation (समुदाय व संरक्षण), The June Issue Vol 4 issue 2  and the Hindi update in the Applicability of the Scheduled Tribes and Other Traditional Forest Dwellers (Recognition of Forest Rights) Act, 2006 (Also Called) The Forest Rights Act (FRA) To Protected Areas (PAs).

Announcement:Community Forest Rights Learning and Advocacy Process

CFR Learning and Advocacy Process (CFRLAP), involves grass root level organisations and people's networks working with communities on FRA and CFR and other support groups like legal advisors and individuals involved in research. The objective of CFRLA process is to facilitate exchange of information and experiences and reinforce national level efforts for evidence-based advocacy on CFRs.

To strengthen the CFR learning and advocacy process, an email group, cfr- This email address is being protected from spambots.
