A collaboration is on between local NGOs in Kachchh and Kalpavriksh to develop localized environmental education material for children in the district. The first meeting of Kalpavriksh with a group of NGOs was held in Jan 2013 at the initiative of Sahjeevan, in which Kalpavriksh was asked to help produce a storybook for children as well as a set of posters on the ecosystems of Kachchh. In 2014, Sahjeevan asked Kalpavriksh to help produce some more material for Kutch NavNirmanAbhiyan’s work in rural schools in Kachchh, which is supported by Reach to Teach


Bhimashanakar, a protected Wildlife Sanctuary has a rich biodiversity. Local intervention and workshops with school children have been initiated to create an awareness and sensitize children of their rich environment. Kalpavriksh has conducted workshops that has introduced the flora and fauna of that region and also various concepts in nature. Here is a Brief Presentation.

The Biligiri Rangaswamy Temple (BRT) Programme is a collaborative effort between Ashoka Trust for Ecology and the Environment (ATREE), The Vivekananda Girijana Kalyana Kendra (VGKK), and Kalpavriksh.
